Starting from the idea of brainstorming improvements to shopping centers, I thought of utilizing the rentable venue space inside Anaheim Packing District, for instance, to create a hybrid virtual/physical mall of the future.
Here are four examples of use of the venue space:
1. Once a year or every so often, the shopping center could have a Basic Information Open House, where the public can meet the tenants and learn where everything is if they’ve never been there before.
2. An event especially for the tenants of the shopping center where they focus on creative ideas and best practices and practical solutions to double their revenue.
3. Attracting the Disney vacationer would be the subject of another kind of event in the venue space. Discuss forming an advertising co-op and determine, over time with data, what websites or social media platforms would be a good place for a banner ad or a vertical short-form fiction show “sponsored by Anaheim Packing District”, for example.
4. Total Activation of All Event Space with the Anaheim 4D Mall idea I talk about in the video, where the virtual mall exists in temporary event-based forms in physical space in multiple shopping centers and public spaces, if those rentable venue owners would agree.
